Roma started drawing in 2012 at the age of 64 to fill in the time left empty by her mother's death. Attracted by the immediacy of pastel and the vibrant colour range, she switched from watercolour (with deepest respect to watercolourists) to pastel in 2015 after being inspired by Melbourne artist, Maxwell Wilks.
Roma has found her involvement in the PASA committee to be a valuable experience : a behind the scenes look at what goes on with exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations.
