Lynn studied Art and Craft at Marleston TAFE in the mid seventies and then put art on hold as she developed her career raised her sons and looked after a small rural property. After retirement Lynn began lessons again and has attended classes by respected local artists in pastels, oils, acrylics and water colour. A painting holiday in Croatia in 2013 prompted her foray into oils. In 2015 she attended another painting holiday in Tuscany where the focus was on mixed media. Painting trips in the Flinders Ranges especially the Arkaroola Art Experience have also inspired Lynn’s work.
Lynn is exploring the development of a personal style and particularly loves bold, bright colour. “As my style evolves I am drawn to vibrant colours and strong contrasts, but who knows where this will lead next?”Lynn continues to explore courageously using different media in varying combinations. “Not everything works but the fun is in the process”.
